2 Corinthians 5:17

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! ~ 2 Corinthians 5:17
Yesterday, I talked about our “old man” who sometimes rears his head and causes us to slide backwards into sin. But I also talked about how we have overcome our past through the power of Jesus Christ and His name! To be fully transformed, to be fully new in Christ, we cannot just say His name, we must be unchanged in our heart! Anyone who has Christ dwelling in their heart by faith, as said yesterday, is dead in their sins, and their old state is changed forever. The one who was a worshipper of the world is now a child and worshipper of God. The one who was lost has now been claimed! In this claiming, that one is now made free from sin and eternal death. God is now his portion, his bread, his very life.  The one who now lives in Christ is united to Christ, as a branch is to a vine. When Christ comes into our heart, our views, our feelings, our thoughts and motives all are transformed, oh praise God, and we are made into new beings! What joy and hope we find in this transformed heart which now resides within us.

Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert ~ Isaiah 43:19 When we meet a challenge, we are often found discouraged, lost, even hopeless.
