Proverbs 5:21

For your ways are in full view of the Lord, and he examines all your paths ~ Proverbs 5:21

2 Chronicles 16:9 tells us the eyes of the Lord go to and fro over the whole earth searching for those who will follow Him. Proverbs speaks those words to us once more. The message we have is that God sees it all. If we react to life from a heart that is good, God sees it. If we commit a sin or a crime, God sees it. If we do a good deed which brings all sorts of acclaim yet have a bitter heart, God sees. He does not only see, but He examines. In other words He checks and balances the motives our heart has in place. He is the Great Judge, and one day, we will all stand before Him.

In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans ~ Romans 8:26 Many days, many times, I have the words for prayer. It comes forth and flows fairly naturally as I converse with my Lord God. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert ~ Isaiah 43:19 When we meet a challenge, we are often found discouraged, lost, even hopeless. Nothing is working, everything seems to be against us. We do not know how to move forward, so we remain curled up in a ball. Then, a glimmer of light shines through!
