Psalm 37:5


Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this ~ Psalm 37:5

The rest of the psalm describes what the Lord will do: He will make your way righteous and your reward shine, He will present himself to you as you wait in patience for His presence, He will vindicate His own from those who succeed in wicked schemes while you will inherit the land, and your mouth will utter wisdom and speak what is just. Commit your way to the Lord which means that whatever you do, or think, or however you act, must be representative of Jesus Christ. It doesn’t mean you have to be perfect, only One was ever perfect. But following Jesus is not a half-in, half-out prospect. It is full and complete following!
