Isaiah 55:11


So is my word that goes out from my mouth: it will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it ~ Isaiah 55:11

The Word of God will cut through to the heart, discerning our ways and our thoughts. God’s word will never fail, or fall short. Hebrews 4:12 tells us God’s word is living and active, sharper than any double-edged sword. As we listen to God’s word we are taught and instructed, we are encouraged and placed under conviction for our sins and wrongdoings. We read or we hear God’s word and we know He is speaking directly into our heart and as a sinner, we cannot evade the word, but instead know we must turn direction and heed the word. God’s word is Truth; it is holy. We are not. We are filled with sin in all manners. But God’s Truth pierces through our sin to bring redemption, whether we see that Truth in the Promises, the Prophecy, the Law, or the Gospel, it will bear fruition. In all these facets, God’s word will bring us to a knowledge of His will in our lives. God’s word will convert the sinner or bring peace to the Follower, but it will not die an unknown death. Take heed of the Word of God, for it will not leave you as it found you. It will either cover you or expose you. Turn to the Lord God today, and may you find repentance in your soul, and a new way to walk through the power of Jesus Christ, who is the Word of God!

Fools find no pleasure in understanding but delight in sharing their own opinions ~ Proverbs 18:2 If we are going to understand something, we must fully digest it so that when we speak, we speak with wisdom. When we have only half truths in our mind, our words become empty and senseless. We then puff out air rather than understanding when we speak. A wise person will want to improve their mind through learning in various ways from the world around them. A person who delights in spiritual understanding will find peace and enjoyment in reading the Word of God on a daily basis, and in participating with God’s people in a learning and praising environment – the church! We come together in corporate worship with the understanding that not one of us knows all things, but we bend our mind and heart to learn what God has to show and say to us. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert ~ Isaiah 43:19 When we meet a challenge, we are often found discouraged, lost, even hopeless. Nothing is working, everything seems to be against us. We do not know how to move forward, so we remain curled up in a ball. Then, a glimmer of light shines through! Hope is regained and movement is stirred within. Don’t we become excited when we begin to feel it? God moves like that. We cannot see our way around it, but He can and does.
