Romans 10:13

For, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved” ~ Romans 10:13

As far as the disciples were concerned, death came. Death won! It was a bleak and desolate day for those men and women. We can relate to them in grief, yet, we have something they did not have, though Jesus had told Martha at the time of Lazarus’ death. He was life everlasting, and those who believed in Him would receive this gift. But on this day, the in-between day after the crucifixion, the disciples did not remember these words of Jesus. We have the blessed privilege of knowing what they in their shock and grief could not recall. Jesus came to die! Jesus came to take our sin! Jesus came that we might, through Him, have life everlasting and be saved! But not only in the life to come, but for this present life as well! We live in the glory of tomorrow, in the glory of Jesus Christ, in the glory of resurrection! And anyone and everyone who says to the Lord Jesus, “Save me,” they are answered and they are restored. Jesus died to save the world because He loved everyone in the world. You are loved more than you can know! Jesus wants your life to be in Him, and salvation will come! That is the promise of today!
