Ephesians 4:26

In your anger do not sin: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry ~ Ephesians 4:26

There are most certainly times to be angry, that is, when something takes from the glory of God, be angry! Be angry at poverty, at injustice, at oppression, at abuse! Be angry about crimes which take innocent lives, and actions which prevent someone from proper education, or work-place equality. Yes, be angry then. But don’t be angry with any one. Relationships take work, they do, it takes communication and resolve to work situations out. Seeing eye-to-eye is not always how it happens between two people, let alone when more are in the mix. But, do not go to sleep with unresolved feelings. When we do, resentment builds, and revenge takes hold. Once this is set in place, it is difficult to find the path of resolution and peace. Passions of the heart may lead us into unwanted places, therefore, guard your heart and your mind against those things which will lead you astray. If the sun is going down, and you are still angry, you may know that it is wrong, that it will lead to greater offence. Turn away then, from your wrath, and find the way of peace.
