Psalm 46:1-3

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear; though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging ~ Psalm 46:1-3

If you ever feel you need to flee the circumstances of life, the one sure place where you can run, is into the arms of Jesus. In times of trouble, or danger, the people of God find in Him a refuge found no where else. Any anxiety or sorrow which may come upon you, any doubts that may overwhelm you, and you can come into the safe haven of our Lord and there you will find peace. Thomas Carlyle wrote: “a sure stronghold our God is He, a timely shield and weapon; our help He’ll be, and set us free from every can happen. And were the world with devils filled, all eager to devour us, our souls to fear shall little yield, they cannot overpower us.” The Lord has been found, by experience, to be a great helper in all kinds of trouble. He is ever available to those who seek Him.
