Daniel 12:3

Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like stars for ever and ever ~ Daniel 12:3

We meet many people in life, but there are the few who rise above others when it comes to our learning. There are teachers in life, and there are mentors who walk alongside us and show us their wisdom of life. This person may be a person who is under the professional term of “teacher”, but more often they are just people who step into our life and guide us onward. I have been blessed to have a few of these people rise up in my life, from adolescence on into adulthood; for just every now and again, when I needed such a person, one rose up to mentor and bring healing into my life. These are the people who shine like the brightness of the heavens! We never forget these wise, caring and understanding people. These wise people may be the ones who lead us to righteous living, or, they may be another, who in our life lead us to Christ and to salvation. Those people who are engaged in soul saving are the greatest. A person of this category lives what they preach, pray for those they know are not in God’s family, are able with free and loving advice to offer those who come to them, yet they are not pushy, but wait for God’s leading and time to speak to those who need the Good News message of Christ. They will shine like the stars, for ever and ever. A constellation made up of many, yet unique and individual soul winners are these. To both the receiver, and the giver, are lasting results when it comes to wisdom. Yet, all glory belongs to the Lord, for the weapons of their “warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds.” They use wise instruction, earnest prayer to God, and a good example.

In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans ~ Romans 8:26 Many days, many times, I have the words for prayer. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert ~ Isaiah 43:19 When we meet a challenge, we are often found discouraged, lost, even hopeless. Nothing is working, everything seems to be against us. We do not know how to move forward, so we remain curled up in a ball. Then, a glimmer of light shines through!
