John 7:3

Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent ~ John 17:3

And how will they know? Who will tell them that Jesus Christ is the Saviour of the world? Will you? Do You? There is no connection between knowledge and eternal life’s promises without communication. We cannot pass on real knowledge of Jesus Christ without influencing another’s soul with the truth. We are called to share our story of how Jesus has changed our life, how He has forgiven our past sins and rebellion against Him. How does a child know when you have forgiven them? You wrap them up in your arms and they feel your love and tenderness toward them. This is what we share with others – the love and tenderness God has for us, no matter what our past involved. And we share how Jesus is our friend as God is our Father. The heart, once opened to this truth, can then enter into faith. Yet, we cannot proclaim the whole truth of God to those we communicate with, for there is the mystery of God which holds us back from full knowledge, and in fact, the more you get to know God the less you will know! This is the beauty of Him while we live from day-to-day having only the knowledge necessary to life. His promises are sure and true – promises of eternal life, of a new heaven and earth, promises that He will never leave you or abandon you, promises that He is faithful even when we are not. Promises of no more tears, or pain, or sorrow. Will you share with someone today the truth of Jesus Christ?
