Ezekiel 11:19


I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh ~ Ezekiel 11:19

Our God is one of regeneration and renovation! He will take a heart which is divided between two poles, between the true God and idols, a heart which sometimes serves God and sometimes serves Baal, and will create that heart into a singular pursuit to His honour and glory! A divided heart wavers, it pauses and halts between opinions, between truth, between worship; it is hypocritical. A single heart is sincere and is firmly attached to the one it loves and the one it desires to be near and to worship. This is the heart God yearns for in His children! One heart, filled with one Spirit, longed for in the days of Ezekiel, and fulfilled through the power of the risen and ascended Christ Jesus! How blessed are we to have His Spirit within us at all times, to sense His presence every moment of every day. This heart of ours, once divided, once hardened to the knowledge of His holy presence has been made new. We were hardened by sin and destitute of spiritual insight, we were blind to His loving correction and His sanctifying grace, but now, now we have a heart which is soft and tender to hear His voice and to follow His ways. What great a gift God has granted to us who believe in His Son! We no longer need to read of His laws to understand them for now they are written on our hearts to instruct and guide. Praise God, praise the Son, praise the Holy Spirit! Amen.

Fools find no pleasure in understanding but delight in sharing their own opinions ~ Proverbs 18:2 If we are going to understand something, we must fully digest it so that when we speak, we speak with wisdom. When we have only half truths in our mind, our words become empty and senseless. We then puff out air rather than understanding when we speak. I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert ~ Isaiah 43:19 When we meet a challenge, we are often found discouraged, lost, even hopeless.
