Zephaniah 3:17


The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing ~ Zephaniah 3:17

A word of promise and hope today, for all who read here. The Lord is in your midst, He is in covenant with you, and “If God be for us who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31). What will He not do for you since He is the Mighty Warrior who saves? Isaiah said in 33:22: “Strengthen the feeble hands, steady the knees that give way; say to those with fearful hearts, “Be strong and do not fear; your God will come, He will come with vengeance; with divine retribution He will come to save you”. And He will fill you with His love, joy, and peace, for in God the three exist in joined pattern, undivided. His love rests on you because you are the object of His love. He is pleased with your sacrifices, and the longing of your soul, which will be fulfilled by Him. We seek and long for that which we cannot find in this world; only God can bring that contentment to our heart. That peace that enters the heart comes because this great Mighty God who saves will make no mention of your past sins, for they no longer have any power over you! He is rejoicing over you in song!  You who are now mourning, you will be comforted, those whom are now afflicted, it will be undone! Praise God!

Numbers 24:17a

I see him, but not now, I behold him, but not near. A star will come out of Jacob; a sceptre will rise out of Israel ~ Numbers 24: 17a In Genesis God brought a man called Abram from the land of Ur and led him on a journey, eventually to stop in what we call the land of Israel. A covenant was made with this man when he was 75 years old, and though he did not yet have any offspring, God told him his following generations would be as numerous as the stars in the heavens. Fools find no pleasure in understanding but delight in sharing their own opinions ~ Proverbs 18:2 If we are going to understand something, we must fully digest it so that when we speak, we speak with wisdom. When we have only half truths in our mind, our words become empty and senseless. We then puff out air rather than understanding when we speak. A wise person will want to improve their mind through learning in various ways from the world around them. A person who delights in spiritual understanding will find peace and enjoyment in reading the Word of God on a daily basis, and in participating with God’s people in a learning and praising environment – the church!
