John 14:6

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me ~ John 14:6


“I am the Way”, said Jesus. There are many doctrines in our world today. The Jehovah’s Witness believe Jesus was born a man and “created” later by God to be a divine being. Jesus himself declares in his “I Am” statements that he was before time, that he was not created, but that he was always God. In Revelation he states he is the Alpha and the Omega, that is, the Beginning and the End. In John 6:68, “Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.” If Peter, who walked with Jesus said this, and if Jesus claimed the “I Am”, the very same way God described himself to Moses, than only the doctrine of Jesus is true. Christ too, is the only God who a) sent a Son to bring the Good News to a lost and hurting world, and b) sent his Son to take the punishment not due him, but due a sinful people in a sin filled world. Greek gods all expected others to cater to them, but the God of Jesus came to serve those he came to die for. And, Jesus is the only God to send a part of himself to live inside the people who believed in him. His Holy Spirit came to be our guide, to show us the way to live, to love, to follow, and to proclaim the name of Jesus to others. In all three ways, Jesus is the Way. Jesus is Truth. There are many false religions today too, but the God of Jesus makes promises that come as promised. God is ever faithful to his word, ever faithful in his covenant. He is life, for he was raised from the dead, promising again that those who believe in him will also be raised from the dead in a new body to live and praise him forever in the heavens. He is life not only for eternity, but he is life for us now through our salvation, praise God. And, to complete this statement of Christ’s, he is the only way into the presence of God the Father. There is no other way, no other gate, no other power which will grant to us an appearance before God. Jesus is the only way. He is the only Truth, and He is the only Life. Believe and receive.

I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert ~ Isaiah 43:19 When we meet a challenge, we are often found discouraged, lost, even hopeless.
