Psalm 59:16 TPT

But as for me, your strength shall be my song of joy. At each and every sunrise, my lyrics of your love will fill the air! For you have been my glory-fortress, a stronghold in my day of distress.

How glorious it was to see the sun streaming in my windows this morning! We have had so much snow and cloudy days in the past month we almost forgot what the sun looks like. But even more glorious is to wake up with the love of God in my heart! The psalmist says his lyrics of how much God loves him fills the air! Is God your song in the morning? Even in your troubled times, and I know we all have them. Our loved one has a serious illness, or perhaps it is we that deal with something in our body we cannot control. Dementia, cancer, money problems, car troubles, job closures and issues are only some of what may bring us down into the land of discouragement. Do you have trouble in those times to sing the song of love on those days?

Sometimes it is difficult, yet look up for the Son is shining in your window! Jesus is our strong rock, our fortress when the world is crashing around us. Nothing in this life is stable, but Jesus. He is our stronghold in our day of distress! He is our best friend and our Saviour. Go to Him with your troubles and He will hear you. His word tells us to ask, seek, and knock and the door will be opened to us. We cannot stand at the gate and wait impatiently. We must act by letting the Lord know we want to hear from Him, that we need to hear from Him. Then He will act on your behalf and answer and open to you the answers to your problems. And, even if you do not receive the answer, God will give you the strength you need to face whatever is in front of you. After all, as the psalmist says, He is our glory-fortress!

Fools find no pleasure in understanding but delight in sharing their own opinions ~ Proverbs 18:2 If we are going to understand something, we must fully digest it so that when we speak, we speak with wisdom. When we have only half truths in our mind, our words become empty and senseless. We then puff out air rather than understanding when we speak. A wise person will want to improve their mind through learning in various ways from the world around them. I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert ~ Isaiah 43:19 When we meet a challenge, we are often found discouraged, lost, even hopeless. Nothing is working, everything seems to be against us. We do not know how to move forward, so we remain curled up in a ball. Then, a glimmer of light shines through!
