Romans 8:31
What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? ~ Romans 8:31 Sometimes in our speech we use the word “if” in a doubting way. Such as to say, “If she were to do what she planned,” or “If he would stop…”. We are saying here that she may not do what she had planned, and he may not stop whatever activity we hoped he would. It is a big ambiguous question. The “if” used here is not ambiguous. It is certain and assuring. God is with and for his people; we do belong to him and he does approve of us. And, God will help us, and be of great use to us for our advantage. Therefore, who can be against us? Who can actually be against us? All the enemy can do is limited and confined, because all they can do is at the disposal of God. Satan cannot prevail against us.
